About How to Write Scripts for Theatre

Know the basics of writing plays in How to Write Scripts for Theatre, a six-hour crash course. What are the differences between theatre and film? Between plays and novels? How does one come up with a story for a script? How can I make my story feasible for stage performance? How can I create my script so that directors and actors will want to stage it? We’ll cover these and other theatre basics. By the end of the course, you’ll have the tools to write your own short play. How to Write Scripts for Theatre is taught by Dr. Joem Antonio. A theatre enthusiast who specializes in playwriting, his plays have been staged in various schools and other venues in the Philippines, as well as in Australia and in New Zealand. He has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from UP Diliman and is an eight-time Palanca Award winner. Dr. Antonio is also currently the Program Director of the MA Humanities program at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
